Irish Rule of Law International, Programme Lawyer Malawi (Legal Aid Bureau)

IRLI is currently seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister with minimum one year PQE to join our Access to Justice Programme in Malawi. The successful candidate will undertake activities to strengthen the capacity of advocates and paralegals in the Legal Aid Bureau; improve case management systems; organise training events; reviewing court applications and track the progression of cases.

Based in Lilongwe, Malawi, the placement is full time for 12-24 months commencing between September-November 2016.

Irish Rule of Law International, Programme Lawyer Malawi (Malawi Police Service)

IRLI is currently seeking a motivated individual with experience working in the Human Rights, Justice and/or Law Enforcement sector to join our Access to Justice Programme in Malawi. The successful candidate will will be responsible for managing a programme of trainings for Malawian police officers on various topics relating to criminal law and human rights; building relationships and strengthening the linkages between the various branches within the stations; and supporting IRLI’s Diversion Programme for children who have come in conflict with the law
