Sankalpa has adopted the right-based approach at strategic and practical levels because it believes that all people are entitled to the ‘rights’ that are enriched in the National and international laws and conventions. Sankalpa has been addressing the subject of inequality, powerlessness, suffering and material poverty. Sankalpa Darchula Nepal (Sankalpa) is a community Based organizations (CBOs)/ NGO dedicated to Human Rights, Food security, Health and wash, Education, Water Governance, Climate, Peace Building, Media and Development in Sudur Paschiem Province since 1997. It works with a mission to enable rural people to claim and exercise their rights promoting and protecting human rights through the National rule of law, poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resource. Mr Narayan Joshi 30 years old is the Executive Director of Sankalpa Darchula Nepal (sankalpa). Mr. Joshi holds Master’s Degree in Economics, Masters in Sociology, Post Graduate Diploma in WASH from Tribhuwan University. Prior Sankalpa, Mr. Joshi worked as Director for WASH Based Trans boundary River of South Asia (TROSA) Program in Darchula and Advocacy at Women empower for 15 years. She was the National WASH Focal Person for Sankalpa Darchula Nepal. Before her involvement with Sankalpa Darchula Nepal, she also worked with Sankalpa as a Project Coordinator in Civil Society TROSA Project for Darchula District. She has extensive work experience in diversified fields especially in the development sector. She was involved in various government and non-government institutions representing her previous organizations. She was also part of Task Force (Advisory Group) at South Asian Coordination Group to End Violence Against women. She is the trainer in the field of WASH, Gender, and Child Rights. Ms Joshi participated various Regional and Global meetings on WASH, Gender, Child Rights, Child Protection and Advocacy. She was also awarded by the Ministry of water supply and sanitation for her praiseworthy contribution in the field of education. During her service period in various organizations, she received various trainings and training of trainers’ (ToT) on WASH, Gender, Child Rights, Child Protection, Project Cycle Management, Advocacy Skills, Livelihood, Social Inclusion
