I am Brazilian, lawyer and activist in human rights and social organizations. I believe that the law has to be accessible to everyone and that is why we currently have a master’s degree in human rights and humanitarian law at American University. I was the international legal director of the social organization TECHO for 4 years, where I had the opportunity to develop different projects of community legal empowerment in several Latin American countries. Before that I was the legal director of TETO Brazil where I developed the legal empowerment project that approached 24 informal settlements and worked directly in the regularization of four communities.
