Shibolo Awali Sean is a licensed practising Advocate of the Highcourt other courts subordinate in Uganda. He is an LGBTQ and other marginalised communities Human Rights Defender currently working with The Robust Initiative For Promoting Human Rights (TRIUMPH UGANDA) organisation as the co-founding Executive Director and Head of Legal Aid Services Division. Under the organisation, Sean alongside colleagues has defended 100s of LGBTQ persons in courts of law and was recognised by Sexual Minorities Uganda in 2021 as a Human Rights Hero in Uganda and subsequently featured in the European Union International Day of Human Rights-2021 campaign nominated by The Dutch Government. Sean has also launched several research pieces on Human Rights violations against organisations defending LGBT Rights in Uganda and is an active consultant on LGBTQ Legal framework and Human Rights in East Africa.
