Dr. Ali Mahdi Ba received his PhD from the Arab Research and Studies Institute - Cairo in 2005. He now works at the Aden University - Faculty of Law as an Associate Professor in administrative law.

He has multiple positions in civil society organizations including:

1. Director of the Institute of Higher Aden for the rehabilitation of the decision-makers
2. The head of the sustainability of the skills and defend the rights and freedoms.
3. Mitraf lawyer before the Supreme Court of the Republic.
4. Member of the Arab Lawyers Union.
5. President of the Bar Association of Yemeni province of Shabwa branch.
