I am a human rights lawyer and activist working in the field of environmental, economic and socio-cultural rights. Over the years I have worked with communities in resource-rich areas, empowering them to know their rights and to demand for respect and promotion of the rights; including facilitating access to justice and remedy where these rights are violated. I have passion for gender equality and women’s empowerment work. I enjoy litigation, legal research and working to strengthen national human rights institutions and parliamentary oversight role in natural resource governance. My research work has been on sustainable forest management, sovereign wealth funds, community benefits in mining, business and human rights , human rights monitoring and advocacy for legal, policy and institutional reforms. Through this network I hope to get access to useful networks for strengthening this kind of work and to also get access to resources like articles and experts who can help through critique
