The Natural Justice Program in Kenya is seeking applicants for its Community Environmental Legal Officer positions. The successful candidates will work closely with communities affected by environmental issues and help them find remedies through the government administrative and regulatory institutions. With affected community members, the community environmental legal officers will collect and submit evidence of environmental impacts, facilitate discussions with relevant government institutions, liaise and collaborate with local civil society groups.
Two teams will be constituted - one based on the Coast of Kenya (Lamu/Kilifi/Kwale Counties) and another in Marsabit and Isiolo Counties. The teams will work very closely with the Natural Justice Program Team based in Nairobi.
