Rights and Resources Group (RRG) seeks a Legal Analyst to support its strategic analyses and engagements advancing the global knowledge base on Indigenous Peoples’, Afro-descendant Peoples’, local communities’, and community women’s tenure rights. The ideal candidate will be a lawyer that brings a strong background in international human rights law and community-based land, forest, and natural resource tenure rights, and an interest in developing expertise in one or more priority thematic areas (such as women’s land and resource rights, international climate and biodiversity policy, or community-based economic models).
The Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) is a global coalition of more than 150 organizations dedicated to advancing the forest, land, and resource rights of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, Afro-descendant Peoples, and in particular the women within these groups. RRI is coordinated by the Rights and Resources Group (RRG), a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC.
