Namati is looking for a brilliant communicator with a strategic vision who will share Namati’s story with the world.

About the position:

As Namati’s Communications Strategist, you’ll shape how we convey our mission, our passion, and our work to the world. To this end, you will:

  • Develop an overall communications strategy for Namati that reflects our “voice” and supports our organizational goals.

  • Serve as the owner and strategist for Namati website content, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information that maximizes conversion of visitors into GLEN members, advocates, and supporters of our work.

  • Create compelling narratives across multiple media and oversee development of materials from writing and editing to production. Examples include emails to our community of practitioners, practitioner and client stories, social media postings, op-ed support to leadership, copy for our website, reports to supporters, briefs on program areas and cross-cutting themes.

  • Oversee expansion of our online community and support strategic engagement with our email list.

  • Develop a system for the collection of individual stories, quotes, testimonies, and photographs from our programs that tell the story of our work and the experiences of our clients and stakeholders.

  • Raise the profile of Namati and the field of legal empowerment by maximizing media coverage in local, national, and international press. Monitor coverage of Namati and partners in English and foreign language media, and maintain and regularly update press contacts.

  • Serve as an in-house editing hub, improving the quality, consistency, and look of our publications and website.

  • Oversee vendor contracts and budgets including PR and media services.

  • Support the reenvisioning of Namati’s brand and roll-out across our communications platforms.
