Capacity-building and funding opportunity for human rights defenders in exile, due Feb 18

From Center for Victims of Torture:

The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) is pleased to announce this Call for Applications for a new human rights training and mentoring project, the Incubator for Defenders Remaining in Exile to Advance Movements, or “IDREAM.” Through this Call, IDREAM is seeking applications from exiled Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) and their organizations who are interested in joining a collaborative and dynamic capacity-building project.

IDREAM seeks to enable exiled HRDs and their organizations to continue their work advocating for fundamental freedoms, despite forced relocation due to threats or attacks they have experienced as a result of conducting their human rights work. To advance this goal, IDREAM will provide a range of technical assistance and other support to the project’s partners in three technical areas: personal and organizational resilience; effective advocacy; and integrated security. The attached application package provides further details. Project partners will receive limited financial assistance to support the goal of the project.

Please see the attached application package for all information. cc @marlonmanuel, @abigailmoy to flag for relevant partners

Appreciate the funding.

For CLEC in Cambodia, we lack funds for hundreds of LNR community representatives, activists/HRDs being charged with crimes against their activism. We need advice from all of us here. Thanks
